AN UNEXPECTED DAY

You never know what to expect from Lou. This day was different. This morning when Lou woke and was lying in bed she said that I would have to take her to the ER because she hadn't had a BM for three days. I reminded her that we cleaned up two messes Monday and it was only Wednesday. She didn't like me arguing with her. She is worried that the cancer is building and is going to squeeze her colon so that she will bloat like the day I took her to ER and we found that she had cancer that had a tumor that had pressed against the colon, blocking it. Then when she got up about 7:45 she didn't bathe and dress. She asked for her robe and spent the day in her gown and robe. She was hungry for breakfast and after eating she had a normal BM so she can quit worrying for a day or so about that problem, but it remains in the back of her mind. She had a fairly good day in her chair and didn't sleep a lot.

She got a lot of great mail today. In the last couple of days she got a personal card from Ann Stuart, TWU Chancellor regretting her missing the Regent's meeting. Today she got another engraved rock from Charlie Korbell that quoted a poem that meant a lot to him and wanted to share it with Lou. She also got an inspirational card from Ashley that included photos of Ashley and Ross as well as some of Lou that she had taken. Then there was a letter addressed to Lou from Tim Dill who is in prison. He said he woke up last Sunday thinking about Lou and wanted to share some of his devotionals with her. He postscriped with a prayer attributed to Ambrose of Milan (340 - 397). She has a lot of people supporting her with their prayers and comments. And we appreciate all of them.
